Your artist will take the time to listen to your requests and recommend the right products and services for your individual needs. Your artist will then create a style perfected  just for you.

Mak's Place was established in July 1994, and is currently serving the community in old town Alexandria, Virginia. We are conveniently located directly across from the Braddock Metro Station. We also have free garage parking spaces as well as available street-meter parking.

From the refreshing and uplifting aroma therapeutic Aveda products, to your shampoo, hair, and makeup, you will feel like you are in an oasis of peace and creativity. You are our canvas..we want to make sure that we release an experience that promotes comfort, care, and well-styled results. Simply put, Mak's Place is a cut above the rest, and experience that draws on the beautiful human being that you already are by bringing out that beauty to its full fruition.

Complimentary Refreshments

Our clients are offered complimentary refreshments during their visit to Mak's Place. The refreshments consist of a variety of gourmet coffees, filtered water, and organic Aveda tea-with licorice root, peppermint leaves, sweet fennel, and basil. From time to time we offer specialty drinks based on the particular seasons of the year.
